Piedmont Pool...Where summer fun begins...

SO SO proud of all the swimmers this year and at City Meet…Love you all so very dearly. See you tonight at 6:30 for dessert and awards!!

Thanks to everyone who brought a dish out for the pasta pot luck dinner! It was wonderful. There was an email sent out but I wanted to make sure everyone knew warm up times.

6&u and 8&u warm up at 7-7:30, I would like them to be there by 6:50.

9-10’s warm up is from 7:30 to 8. I would like them to be there by 7:20.
Meet beings at 8:30 sharp.

The warmup for 11 and up is determined by how long finals go for the younger ones. The supposed start time for afternoon session is 1:00. I would like all of my 11 and up swimmers to get to the Nat. by 10:45-11 to cheer on the younger ones. I am assuming practice will begin around 11:30-12:30.

If you are volunteering, please be at your position on time. Thank you so much for all of your support and help this year.

Alright, a few corrections. Tomorrow we will be making signs at Piedmont around 4-4:30. We will have some poster board and markers for this kids, but bringing your own is always welcome too.

Secondly, thursday we have a MANDATORY stroke clinic…I would like to see as many of the kids as possible. We will start earlier on Thursday due to our pasta dinner. 10 and under will be at 4:30-5:15, and 11 and up will be at 5:15 to 6, pasta dinner following. If you plan on coming to the pasta dinner, please bring a dish to share with everyone!

Its officially here, the holiday weekend and the start of City Meet week!! All of the coaches and I have been thinking of some fun ideas for all of the kids this week. Here is what we have come up with:

Monday- Practice from 8-10. Please be there. Come at any time. The rest of the day is fun in the sun at the pool for the 4th celebration. Have fun and be safe, I will be there all day.

Tuesday- We will go bowling!! We will meet at Piedmont and then go on to AMF bowling center on memorial parkway. We will meet around 1:30.

Wednesday- Sign making day!! We will have poster board and markers for the kids to make their own signs/age group signs. Coaches will be making the large signs we hang on Thursday.

Thursday- BLOCK PRACTICE!!! This is a good chance for everyone to use the blocks and see how the Natatourium is set up. Practice is from 9-10. Thursday night is our annual Pasta Party. Each kid bring one pasta dish. It will be down in the club house around 6. Theme will be announced this week.

Friday- Lunch with the team at Jasons Deli. We will meet at Piedmont or Jasons deli around 12. Straight after lunch I will take all of the girls to get pedicures, please bring money if you plan on coming, and Daniel will take the boys back to the pool for a massive game of capture the kickboard .

Saturday & Sunday- CITY MEET!!! Warm-up times will be announced late in the week.

Hi everyone!! I just wanted to do a quick reminder and update to everyone over the holiday weekend to be safe (no broken bones), and to let everyone know that we WILL be having practice on Monday July 5th. I know many of you will not be able to make it, but for the swimmers swimming city meet, and those who need some extra stroke help, Monday will be perfect. We will practice from 8-10, any age group is welcome at any time. Please try to come any make it out.

I will have something exciting for the swimmers to do each day next week up until Friday afternoon. This will be posted tomorrow or Sunday. Have a great holiday weekend!

Alright, here’s the deal for Wednesday afternoon. We are going to see toy story at 11:30, be there at 11:10… Also our theme is cops and robbers, the meet is AT greenwyche. If you would like to caravan be at Piedmont @ 5:15. If you do not want to caravan, be at Greenwyche 5:40ish.

Alright everyone, after much debate, Monte Sano and Piedmont have decided to have our meet TOMORROW night, Friday June 10!! We will all meet at piedmont at 5 for 5:30 warm ups, meet starts at 6:30. This will run exactally as a normal Wednesday meet would. If you signed up to volunteer on Wednesday, you will be doing the same job tomorrow…please please let me know if you can’t make it tomorrow, I need to know asap for entries

Alright everyone, we are on our second week of swim team, and our second SWIM MEET!! It is a home meet, thank you everyone for all of your donations of drinks/candy. I would like everyone to be there around 5:15 for a 5:30 warm-up.

The theme for this swim meet is Hillybilly!! Yee-haw.
